CRGC with Clark McLeod
Our sincere thanks to the Cedar Rapids Garden Club (CRGC) for its continued support of the 1,000 Mile Pilot, a public-private partnership established to provide refuge and food for pollinators by establishing significant native habitat along Linn County roadsides.

Here, CRGC members Kathy Smith, Ann Hammond, and Beth Roof present a check to MRP President Clark McLeod for $2,406. The club also supported 1,000 Miles in 2019 with a $2,000 donation.

CRGC is a member of the Garden Club of America (GCA), and this funding is made possible through GCA’s Partners for Plants program, which funds efforts to monitor and conserve rare plants, restore native habitats, and remove invasive weeds on federal, state and local public lands.

CRGC members also volunteer at MRP, assisting with harvesting and packaging milkweed seed and organizing native seed giveaways. Thank you, Cedar Rapids Garden Club!
