We’re Scaling. And We Need the Right People.

Monarch Research is entering its next phase of growth.

Over the past several years, our work in Linn County has expanded significantly. Since the 2020 derecho, we’ve helped plant more than 125,000 native trees, strengthened habitat restoration efforts, expanded programming, and deepened partnerships across the region.

As our programs grow, so does the need for leadership capacity.

We are hiring for two key roles that will help guide Monarch Research through this next stage of scaling and impact.

Research Station Manager

Lead the living heart of our fieldwork.

Monarch Research is seeking a Research Station Manager to steward the day-to-day operations of the Monarch Research Station and guide hands-on conservation across the monarch life cycle .

This is not a desk-bound management role.

It is field boots and data sheets. Habitat maintenance and organism care. Seasonal monitoring and community science. It is someone who understands that ecological restoration is both rigorous and relational.

This role bridges:

  • Field-based conservation

  • Applied ecological research

  • Community engagement

It is for someone who wants to build something dynamic, not simply maintain something static.

Executive Director

Build the next era of conservation in Linn County.

For the first time in our history, Monarch Research is hiring a full-time Executive Director .

The Executive Director leads Monarch Research into its next phase of growth, overseeing strategy, programs, and operations in support of monarch and pollinator conservation. As the Executive Director, you will manage a high-preforming team, steward funding and partnerships, and serve as a visible champion of the mission. This role was designed for an experienced nonprofit executive ready to lead with purpose and talent.
